Creating Unicorn Clients
Essential Client Communication Techniques for Web Development Agencies and Solopreneurs
They say unicorns (and unicorn clients) don’t exist. While I admit I have never seen actual unicorn, I have seen unicorn clients… you know… the ones who happily pay on time, respect your expertise, and treat you as a colleague instead of a hired hand (among other things).
Most web agencies and solopreneurs agree that a significant part of our job is to EDUCATE our clients. There is no doubt that by taking the time to explain processes, terms, and expectations, we empower them to make informed decisions and become the kind of active participants we need them to be. But how and when EXACTLY do you do that? That’s the question this eBook answers for you.
In this eBook, I’ve put together some best practices and techniques I’ve learned over the years to help you both spot AND help create unicorn clients, even from the most unlikely candidates.
Meet the Author
Hi! I’m Beth Livingston.
In a nutshell, I am a former IT Business Analyst, Instructional Designer, and Project Manager who traded corporate life to become a full-time WordPress Solution Provider in 2016. I’m a regular WordCamp speaker and founder of The Website Professional Project Manager’s Academy (wproadmaps.com), teaching students to master completing projects on time, within budget, and with desired features, all while maximizing profits.
While currently reworking the Academy curriculum to incorporate Artificial Intelligence time-saving techniques (Project Management for Profit), I also manage my agency in North Carolina, Triad Web Advisors, lead the WordPress Project Management Facebook group, and occasionally organize events for the Greensboro WordPress Meetup Group.
